Change – but more of the same

A quick update for anyone still looking for the World of Words blog.

The blog moved a few months ago to http://languageunpacked.blogspot.com, where it is going from strength to strength.

There’s been a lot (and I mean a lot) of discussion about Barack Obama’s rhetoric – how it works, the figures of speech he uses, the references to Lincoln and King, etc, etc.

You’ll also find more comments about rhetoric, grammar and punctuation, a little bit about propaganda, and a few posts about etymology. Be honest, did you know that calling something a shambles has its origins in the meat markets of years gone by?

So, please don’t be a stranger. Stop by and see us at Language:unpacked soon.
